[SMM Analysis: Significant Increase in LFP Exports in December] SMM, January 24—According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's LFP export volume in December 2024 reached 910.93 mt, marking the highest monthly export volume of the year, up 172% MoM and up 524% YoY.

SMM, January 24 - According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's LFP exports in December 2024 reached 910.93 mt, marking the highest monthly export volume of the year, up 172% MoM and 524% YoY. In terms of pricing, the average export price of LFP in December 2024 was $6,090/mt, down 10.5% MoM.

In the December 2024 import data from the General Administration of Customs, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region remained the top province for LFP exports with 672 mt, all of which were exported to Vietnam. Anhui province ranked second with 144 mt, all exported to Taiwan, China. Jiangsu province ranked third with an export volume of 38.2 mt.

Regarding LFP export destination data for December 2024, Vietnam remained the top destination, with a total export volume of 672 mt, accounting for 73.7% of the total exports. Taiwan, China ranked second with a total export volume of 150.1 mt. South Korea ranked third, with 61.9 mt of LFP exported. Other export destinations included France, the US, Russia, Japan, Norway, Germany, India, and others, with smaller export volumes to these destinations.
